It is pre-stressed reinforced concrete that is poured in a tubular steel mould and spun around a longitudinal axis. The centrifugal force applied to the concrete creates unparalleled density and resistance on the outside while keeping the interior hollow. The surface of spun concrete products is particularly resistant to known types of degradation such as freeze and thaw cycles, corrosion and ground acids.
